Mya has passed. Check that—has been murdered. The crew wants to know who pulled the trigger, who was behind it. KD is convinced by Crosby and the Russian Ivan, that it is time for him to take over Sonny’s crew as his own, he makes his move. Sonny is aware of KD’s plot but before he defenses against it, he and Slim meets for the first time and a revelation comes to light that the two leaders never knew of.

This latest offering from Alex Richardson is taut with suspense, dark and deliberately faster paced than earlier books in the series. It's not Scandal paced, but it's just the right amount of speed for such a layered drama.There are some surprises in the 20th installment, although long-time fans of the series were most likely expecting some of the events that unfolded.
Overall, I'm not looking forward to this series ending...ever. Many fans of this author's work feel the same I'm sure. Mr. Richardson has set himself apart by showing a fine hand, adding elegant, subtle details to this gritty urban tale.

I never expected the twists & turns this book is taking! I really hope things are not playing out the way I think! The crew has so much going on & as for KD, he really has it coming! I absolutely love this series and am always in intense anticipation of the next installment! I'll be riding this Corner train until the wheels fall off!
Damn Alex, you are a genius! You did your thing. The characters are so vividly portrayed; I felt like I was sitting on the sideline watching everything unfold. That slick move you pulled with Lucky. The story line had unexpected twists that came together beautifully. It ended too soon, but at least we know that there is more to come. Trying to think of something about this book that I didn't like...Oh well. Maybe next time!
This book was alright, didn't like the way some parts were written especially the aftermath of Mya's death. Also, seemed as if the authors forgot some core personatility traits for key characters and had them doing things completely uncharacteristic with no explanation. E.g Skinny K's reaction to Candy Rose and Noonie nonchalantly disregarding rank with Rico.
Maybe I just expected more after regaining interest in the serious after a hiatus by reading Books 16 - 19 but this one just fell flat for me.
Just finished reading The Corner 20, and Alex Richardson you've done it again! I hate that I'm finished reading it!! I tried to savor it for as long as I could. It was a great read as always and I can't wait for part 21 to come out! For those of you who haven't read this series, you don't know what you are missing!! This series really reminds me of Power in a book format but it actually came out years before Power was introduced.
i have been reading this series since The Corner 1 that came out back in 2004. I fell behind alil so im just starting The Corner 20. i am loving this series. Alex Richardson is the BOMB.COM. if you have not read any of these books pls read them they keep you on the edge of your seat.

Alex you have done it again..loved this one too..highly anticipating the release of book # 21 in this series. I cannot say this often enough readers this is a readtastic series that keeps you coming back for more and wishing that our boyfriend author could write, type or whatever he does really fast...so if you haven't already come join The Corner family you will not be disappointed. This man has brought people together in group discussions about this series all around the world. P.S. Alex I knew they were connected by a family bond.
I can't think of another word to describe this awesome book series. The characters seem so real. I love the way crew treat each other as family. Well, that is until you do something bad. I read all 20 books in 2 weeks since they were short chapters. I was in another world for 2 weeks. The author can not stop. He must keep this story going so we continue to be intrigued on the next problem that Slim will solve. My favorite character is Antwan. I like his style, quietness and ruthlessness, when needed. He is laid back, sensitive, wise and loving (when the right woman come along).
