This book is absolutely captivating for my five year old. We read it almost every night. My wife has read it to her 3rd grade class who asked to reread the book several times! It reads like a Dr. Suess book in the magical way that a blend of words fits so beautifully together allowing rhyming to paint a vivid story. The difference is none of the authors words are made up. Each page is wonderfully illustrated with bright vibrant pictures. A must read and an excellent book to add to the library. You and your child will open it many times.
I have the print edition, and my son couldn't be more in love with this book--we often read it many times a day. It's sweet, surprising, wonderfully told, adventurous, and has beautiful artwork. I highly recommend it for children of just about any age.
